Case Officer at the Marriage Register

Do you want to help create societal benefit together with knowledgeable colleagues? As a case officer at the marriage register, you will have a varied and educational job that involves the registration of certain family law documents and contact with many different customers.

About the Job

Your work will include searching for and providing information, as well as investigating, analyzing, and deciding on various cases that vary in scope and complexity. You will request additional information via phone and mail in contact with private individuals, submitters, and other authorities. With the support of laws and regulations, you will assess the documentation and make decisions. We work towards flexible resource allocation and broadening competencies in other areas of operation, such as estate inventory activities.

We are looking for driven, flexible employees who have the customer in focus. We work in teams, which means you will work closely with your colleagues, giving and receiving support from each other. Your contribution in teamwork is important, and you need to take responsibility and drive the collective work forward. In case handling, you will make independent decisions, but during investigations, you are open to both giving and receiving support from your colleagues. We are also constantly working to develop and improve our operations. You need to have the courage to participate in this change work alongside your regular tasks. You have flexible working hours, and it is a given for us that you should have a balance between work and leisure.

The Marriage Register is located in Härnösand and is part of the People and Property Department at the Swedish Tax Agency. Your placement will be in Härnösand, and due to the nature of the tasks, you are expected to primarily work on-site from our premises.

About You

You should also have:

• completed secondary education and relevant work experience in case handling tasks.

It is desirable if you have relevant work experience in case handling within the public sector. Previous relevant work experience from the Swedish Tax Agency is also advantageous.

Good to Know

The employment is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
