Description

We are now looking for a GIS Coordinator for the Operational Support Unit.

The unit, led by a unit manager, has about 30 employees distributed across seven functions: finance, HR, registry/archive, service, operational protection, business development, and legal affairs. The unit is tasked with driving development issues within management and governance and providing support to the county management and units within the various functional areas.

Responsibilities

As a GIS Coordinator, you will have a versatile, creative, and qualified job. This includes, among other things, long-term development and improvement of the authority's work by implementing various GIS tools, conducting training in the field, providing GIS support, and assisting with technical expertise. A large part of the work will be carried out with the other GIS coordinators of the County Administrative Board, and you will also be part of the national GIS coordinator network of the County Administrative Boards and participate in the management of national geodata.

You will be responsible for coordinating efforts, such as updating and quality assurance of the County Administrative Board's planning documents. A central task will be to contribute to the authority's development and management of our environmental data.

Qualifications

You have a university degree with a GIS focus or equivalent experience. A background in natural sciences is an advantage.

You have experience working with ESRI's product family, especially ArcGIS Pro. Experience with ArcGIS Portal and StoryMaps, field support tools like FieldMaps and Survey123, as well as geodata catalogs and SDE databases is also advantageous. Experience with municipal GIS usage is also a plus.

Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have:

• Knowledge of FME, Python, or another programming language for processing geodata.
• Good knowledge of the County Administrative Board's current GIS environment and usage.
