The Human Sciences Faculty Office is responsible for committee and management support, faculty-wide resource allocation, planning/follow-up, research and education administration.

The Faculty Office is now looking for someone who wants to work in a research and educational environment and who has a service-oriented approach, as well as being meticulous, independent, and responsible.

Responsibilities

In the role of faculty administrator, the main function is to provide service and support to students, teachers, researchers, and coordination with other units within Mid Sweden University. You will be part of the educational administrative team along with about twenty colleagues located in both Sundsvall and Östersund.

The role includes responsibility for the student administration required in undergraduate education, and a large part of the work is carried out in various computer-based administrative systems. Typically, secretarial duties are included in various groupings.

In all roles at the Faculty Office, general administration towards the nearest operational manager is included, such as meeting/visit administration, booking of travel and premises, orders and purchases, as well as other recurring administrative tasks.

Travel, primarily between campus locations, is included in the work. Overnight travel may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has an academic degree at least at the bachelor's level and experience working in a structured, service-oriented, and independent manner. You have good administrative and communicative skills, as well as good IT competence and are proficient in MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint or similar software.

Good ability to work independently, in a team, and to handle issues in dialogue with colleagues is required. Being able to express oneself well in spoken and written Swedish, as well as knowledge of English, is a requirement.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability regarding accuracy, initiative, responsiveness, and flexibility.

Employment and Start Date

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement.

Location: Sundsvall.
