The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, pedagogical care, after-school programs, preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary schools, secondary schools, municipal adult education, special education for adults, Swedish for immigrants (SFI), youth centers, and cultural schools.

Altorpskolan, which is the municipality's only 7-9 school, receives students from all our F-6 schools and is strategically located in central Herrljunga. At Altorpskolan, there are just over 300 students, and about 40 staff members work around the students. The school has thirteen classes and is led by two principals. We are currently undergoing a phased renovation that is expected to be fully completed by January 2026.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a qualified teacher in Mathematics, possibly in combination with another subject. We apply co-teaching in mathematics, which means that you will be two teachers for at least two lessons a week.

You will:

• teach Mathematics in grades 7-9.
• be a mentor for a class (together with a mentoring colleague).
• plan, implement, and document your teaching based on governing documents, both individually and together with colleagues in subject and work teams.
• receive professional development in mathematics teaching as part of the cross-administrative mathematics project.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for teachers with teaching certification and solid subject knowledge. You are an engaged teacher who can set boundaries and create a safe classroom climate. As a mentor, we see you as a key person in your mentees' school journey. You take responsibility for the entire school's development and want to help drive it into the future together with us.

OTHER

In Herrljunga municipality, full-time is the norm with the possibility of part-time. If full-time assignments are unavailable, it may mean that positions can be combined with other tasks or at another workplace.
