About the Organization

Upphärad School is a rural and idyllic one-parallel F-5 school with approximately 80 students, close to nature.

As an employee with us, you will be part of a team characterized by collaboration and openness. We put the student at the center and base our teaching on each student's needs. We actively work to adapt the learning environment and vary the instruction through cooperative work and lesson design. We also focus on development areas that strengthen learning and equity. Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in after-school care, you contribute to ensuring that the daily operations at the school run smoothly and that care and daily pedagogical work are based on students' participation and choices. Together with other colleagues at the school, you help create a positive, meaningful, and developmental environment for each student and for the whole group. We are looking for a curious, driven, and creative teacher and colleague who contributes to a calm and harmonious collaborative environment throughout our students' entire school day. To achieve this, as a teacher in after-school care, you should:

• plan, implement, and evaluate the activities based on national goals and guidelines
• apply a variety of working methods, forms of expression, and learning environments.
• offer meaningful after-school activities based on students' needs, interests, and experiences.
• adopt a democratic and empathetic approach where good care combined with teaching stimulates the student's development and learning.
• work towards increased quality in after-school care.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed teacher in after-school care or has another equivalent education/experience. You are positive and engaged, well-grounded in the school’s values, have a good attitude, and are passionate about stimulating students' learning. You are well acquainted with the organization’s governing documents and current research on students' learning. You have a formative approach and analyze, evaluate, and develop the activities based on students' needs.

You find it easy to collaborate, see the importance of collegial learning, and actively contribute to the development of the organization together with your colleagues. You place great importance on good relationships with both students, colleagues, and guardians. Personal suitability is highly prioritized!
