The Gothenburg primary school administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, culture school, and after-school care. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where almost 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who work together to develop and take care of the operations - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Backegårdsskolan is a municipal school located in a scenic area between Lake Bergsjön and Komettorget. The school has two classes from preschool up to grade 6. Currently, the school has about 270 students. The school is characterized by a warm, friendly, and open climate. We see differences and various opinions as an asset that enriches and is a natural part of development and human interaction.
Everyone at the school works and is responsible for ensuring that our students and their guardians feel welcome and safe and that they have the opportunity to reach their full potential academically, emotionally, and socially.
The school focuses heavily on students' language development in all subjects, and the after-school care's activities are an arena where the focus is on students meeting and using language in various forms in different contexts. The purpose of education is for students to become active and skilled readers and writers who dare and can make their voices heard in a democratic society.
As a teacher in after-school care with us, you will be responsible for creating opportunities for learning and development based on governing documents. Together with your colleagues, you will create structures, routines, and a supportive learning environment with the help of pedagogical methods and approaches. Your main task is to work in the school's after-school care, but it also includes teaching physical education in one or more grades. The idea is also that you will help develop and drive our recess activities forward, together with our recess staff group. The group works together with our well-being leaders and with our TL office. Together with your team in after-school care, you will systematically work to develop and drive the work forward, with students in focus.
As a newly graduated teacher, you will participate in the Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction for newly graduated teachers, to receive support and the best possible start in the profession. The introduction provides you as a new graduate with a network with other new graduates and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has a degree and is a certified teacher in after-school care. It is advantageous if you have physical education and health in your qualifications. You should want to work from a holistic perspective as we at the school see it as a success factor. If you have experience working with clear pedagogical methods and have the ability to support and stimulate based on students' individual needs and circumstances, both at the individual and group level, we see it as an advantage.
You need to have good communication and collaboration skills, see differences as a strength, and have a good ability to meet, collaborate, and create good relationships with everyone in and around the operation.
We value the ability to communicate in a humble and empathetic manner, where you start from the premise that students do right if they can and that everyone wants the best. You need to be structured, responsible, and able to prioritize and adapt your working methods with the students' and the operation's needs in focus.
You should have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Since our school is located in a multicultural area, it is of great importance that you are attentive and have an interest in other cultures and see it as an asset.
