Our Operations

Health Administrative Service (VAS) is a hospital-wide organization where medical secretaries, administrators, and receptionists provide administrative support to all departments within the hospital. This means you will become an important part of the care chain at one of Sweden's largest university hospitals with high competence, specialist care, options, and an enormous breadth. We are now looking for summer substitutes!

Your Mission

With us, the tasks are varied with a focus on health administration. As a medical secretary, you contribute to a well-functioning care chain for our patients. We work together to maintain a structured and well-functioning administrative organization where we always have the patient in focus.

In the emergency department, you are an obvious part of the care chain. Here we offer you a varied and exciting assignment that includes care documentation in the emergency room during ongoing trauma alarms. In the event that the hospital goes into reinforcement mode, you will contribute with documentation during staff meetings. Here you will also work with medical documentation with associated diagnosis coding and subsequent registrations, referral management, telephone service, and other common administrative tasks.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is studying or has a recognized education in Health and Medical Administration or equivalent education for medical secretaries, or if you are a medical student. You have excellent knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as well as in medical terminology. Furthermore, you have good IT skills in a Windows environment. Previous work in Cosmic is considered an advantage.

Your Competence

To work as a medical secretary with us, a high sense of responsibility and accuracy is required for the administration around patients to function in a patient-safe manner. To succeed in your role, we see that you can collaborate well with all professional categories and have a good ability to adapt to new conditions and situations. In pressured situations, you find it easy to adjust and prioritize work based on the hospital's needs.

Your service mindset, commitment, and positive attitude contribute to a good work climate, where we all help each other and collaborate to achieve the best care quality for our patients.

We Offer

It is important for us that you get a good start in your work, so we provide you with an introduction tailored to your experiences and needs. We offer you a summer substitute position, from 4-10 weeks in the emergency department. Working hours are scheduled at night, weekdays, and every other weekend. Start date according to agreement.
