Summer Jobs for Youth in Vindeln Municipality

Are you interested in working during the summer break? Maybe trying your first job? Now, if you are in grade 8 or 9, you can work in some of Vindeln Municipality's operations for three consecutive weeks during the summer.

ABOUT THE SUMMER JOB

If you have a summer job, you do not replace regular staff; you are here to gain insight into what it is like to work with us. The purpose is for you to gain work experience and try out what it is like to work in our operations. Perhaps you will be inspired for a future career choice.

Our summer jobs are available in various operations, and we believe there should be something that interests you. We have positions in different preschools and after-school centers, daily activities at Älvan (disability care), and the resource operation at Retrå.

How does it work?

• You work daytime for about 6 hours a day
• You work continuously for 3 weeks
• There are two different periods to apply for (weeks 25-27 and weeks 31-33)
• Once you have submitted your application, we will have a conversation where we try to match you with the right place
• You will have a supervisor on site who is responsible for you

ABOUT YOU

The summer jobs are aimed at those who are in grade 8 or 9 when applying. This summer, priority will be given to youth in grade 9, but you in grade 8 may also get a job depending on availability.

REQUIREMENTS

• You are in grade 8 or 9 when applying for the job
• You are registered in Vindeln Municipality
• If you are interested in working in childcare, you need to apply for a criminal record extract from the police before you can start working. ABOUT THE WORKPLACE

We hope you find something that interests you. In childcare, there are positions in various preschools and after-school centers in Vindeln Municipality. The resource operation is located at Retrå, and daily activities according to LSS are conducted at Älvan. At the workplace, you will be assigned a supervisor who has received training in mentoring others.
