The workplace

Artediskolan F-3 is a school with 207 students in central Nordmaling. Our guiding principles are respect, fairness, empathy, and knowledge. Together with trained colleagues and a solid focus on safety and well-being, we contribute to creating the best conditions for students' learning.

The after-school program at Artediskolan F-3 currently has three departments with 160 children. In HT-25, we will increase the number of students and open a fourth department.

The role and responsibilities

In your role as a teacher in after-school care, you will work in collaboration with other staff to be responsible for and develop the pedagogical learning in our after-school program. Therefore, we want you to be a driving and inspiring team player who can see how small changes can lead to the development of teaching in the after-school program. We have suitable facilities in the school outside the classrooms and in the classrooms, as well as access to a swimming pool, sports hall, and beautiful forest areas.

Planning time for your assignment will be allocated during school hours. Depending on your skills and qualifications, we will shape the position that best fits your profile during the school day. We are committed to providing you with good conditions to develop the after-school program. Through systematic quality work, the units within Artediskolan F-3 create good conditions for all our children and youth to develop maximally in their learning. Varied working hours with some flexibility in scheduling.

  • Plan and lead activities that inspire and engage students.
  • Be responsible for the daily operations of the after-school program.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and guardians to create a positive environment for children's development.

Your profile

To be considered for the position, you must be a licensed teacher for after-school care.

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a genuine interest in students' development and learning, as well as being attentive to their individual needs. You are a clear leader with good foresight and structure, and you have good communication with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are driven to develop the operations to achieve high quality for the students and preferably have experience in this area. You want to take responsibility and are self-sufficient in your work, flexible, and interested in developing the team's collective work.

We value employees who see opportunities and solutions and enjoy being involved in influencing. Good collaboration skills are a fundamental requirement.

About Nordmaling Municipality

Nordmaling has an excellent location, right by the coast, between Umeå and Örnsköldsvik, with the E4 and Botniabanan nearby. The proximity to the sea, forests, rivers, excellent sports facilities, and a rich association life provides great opportunities for an active leisure time for both young and old. Arenas, shopping centers, and cultural houses can be found in Örnsköldsvik to the south and Umeå to the north, both less than 30 minutes away by Botniabanan. We are simply the center between the cities!

Work as emergency service personnel on standby

In the municipality, there is a continuous need to strengthen the emergency services, which is why we see it as positive to also be able to work as emergency service personnel on standby (provided that the qualifications for the assignment can be met and that conditions exist in the above-mentioned position).
