Skellefteå Cultural School is looking for a Drama/Theater Educator

Skellefteå Cultural School's 40 educators meet an average of 2500 children and young people each week in preschool, school, and during leisure time. The Cultural School works to provide children and young people with the opportunity to learn, practice, and experience cultural expressions, leading to good quality of life, social interaction, personal development, democracy, communication, learning, and meaningful leisure time.

We offer activities that are planned with a focus on learning and adapted to the needs and wishes of children and young people. The Cultural School in Skellefteå offers courses in various art forms such as dance, music, media, theater, as well as makeup and costumes, but also courses and activities in other artistic expressions in project form or in collaboration with external actors such as crafts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Skellefteå Cultural School is looking for an employee who has the competence to plan and conduct teaching in drama/theater.

The job responsibilities include courses in drama/theater in the afternoon/evening as well as open activities. You will also work with drama/theater in preschool and school, in collaboration with the class teacher/preschool staff. Work will take place both during the day and in the evening, as well as during certain holidays. Some work on weekends may occur.

At the Cultural School, you will be part of a team within your subject, drama/theater, as well as in various constellations together with teachers working with different artistic expressions, where you will together plan and carry out concerts, performances, and projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the position, you must have a relevant university education in drama/theater with a pedagogical focus or a combination of deep subject knowledge linked with a pedagogical approach. The content of the course activities can be somewhat adapted according to the competence you possess.

We consider it an advantage if you have practical experience working with groups of children, including children with disabilities.

The job requires you to have a B driver's license and access to a car.
