Job Responsibilities:

You will teach the subject of handicrafts. Your teaching will cover grades 3 to 9. At Vindelälvsskolan, you are expected to collaborate with colleagues who teach other subjects, and the pedagogical leadership from the principal encourages cooperation across subject boundaries.

You will have a colleague who teaches textile handicrafts. Collaboration across handicraft disciplines is desirable.

The position may also involve mentorship and teaching during extra study time.

In wood and metal handicrafts, you contribute to students developing entrepreneurial skills. You plan and conduct student-active teaching where students can work creatively, test and reconsider their ideas, and take action.

Your work includes teaching students with different backgrounds and abilities, and we expect that with your formative approach, you have a great ability to meet students where they are in their development.

Your Qualities:

You are brave, spread joy, and show respect. You are engaged and see the benefits of collaborating with colleagues to create good conditions for students' development and learning. Furthermore, we see that you are a responsible, clear, and structured teacher in teaching situations, as well as having a positive and solution-focused approach. You are inspired by the curiosity and engagement of young people and contribute to active learning for each individual student.

Competence/Qualifications - Requirements:

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license with the authority to teach handicrafts up to grade 9. If you lack formal qualifications, you are still welcome to apply. If no qualified licensed teachers apply for the position, you who are unqualified can be employed temporarily for a maximum of one school year.

Meritorious qualifications include having relevant work experience with several years of teaching experience in primary school. It is also meritorious if you are trained to mentor teacher students and if you have training in NPF.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Duration/Working Hours:

Permanent. Part-time 60%. The position may possibly be expanded with another assignment if necessary decisions are made, for example, a substitute pool, possibly full-time.

Start date 2025-08-13 or by agreement.

Salary:

According to agreement. The municipality applies individual salary setting.
