ABOUT THE JOB
We are now looking for a technology teacher for Finnback School.

Finnback School is a secondary school with approximately 420 students. We have 5-6 parallel classes and four working teams, one for each grade and one for our resource school. The working teams meet regularly for team meetings, professional development, and student health meetings. Here, teachers have the opportunity to meet regularly by subject in sector meetings, and we conduct joint staff meetings every month. We collaborate with the school's student health to ensure that our students feel good and are safe at school. Together, we build for the future through collaboration, education, and new technology.

The position involves teaching technology and other usual tasks associated with the teaching profession. In addition to teaching and the tasks related to it, you will share mentorship for a class with a colleague and contribute to the enjoyable and challenging work of working with teenagers.

You will be part of a working team for consultation and planning regarding your mentor class and in a sector where collaboration is key to planning the teaching in your subjects. You will document students' development in our communication tool Infomentor and communicate assignments and other information to students via Teams.

Since the autumn of 2024, we have been working with a schedule model called subject weeks. The model involves cohesive and concentrated work sessions, with one theoretical subject per week. Subject weeks allow for different working methods, facilitate study visits, and reduce fragmentation of time for students and teachers. The hope is that the model will benefit all students and harness their desire to learn. The schedule includes practical-aesthetic subjects and language choices every week. Within their subject, teachers are expected to have close collegial cooperation where they plan and organize teaching together. During some consolidated weeks, we work thematically with the school's guiding principles; together, health, and future.

We are looking for a certified teacher authorized to teach technology grades 7-9. You have high digital competence and relevant work experience teaching secondary school students. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and that you have the competence and ability to:
