RF-SISU Västra Götaland is the regional and local organizational arm of the Swedish Sports Confederation and SISU Sports Educators, with the primary task of supporting special sports federations/member organizations regionally and locally. All sports clubs in the country should have access to equivalent and tailored support regardless of sport and geographical location. Our main task can be summarized as representing, leading, and supporting, as well as forming and educating within club sports. RF-SISU Västra Götaland is looking for a Sports Consultant based in Skövde, working with clubs in Skövde, Tibro, and Karlsborg.

The position is a fixed-term employment until June 30, 2026.

As a sports consultant, you will primarily work to develop and support sports and their clubs through outreach activities, advice, and education, as well as marketing and informing about our activities. The role of the sports consultant is based on creating good relationships in a network with sports clubs and important partners in the field for sports.

The assignment is largely based on given guidelines and documents from RF, SISU Sports Educators, and the district.

We will focus on the five prioritized development journeys of sports:

• Sustainable and modern club life
• Inclusive sports for all
• A new perspective on training and competition
• Gender equality for successful sports
• A strengthened leadership

And our own focus areas:

• creating conditions for voluntary work
• interest political influence

As a sports consultant, you will be an important player in this work.

The main content of the position includes:

• using folk education methods to start educational activities in sports clubs
• collaborating with sports clubs, schools, and other organizations in the field
• cooperating with the municipalities of Skövde, Tibro, and Karlsborg
• arranging meetings, gatherings, training, etc. in the field
• lecturing, educating, and leading processes for active participants, leaders, and boards together with the regular consultant.

As a sports consultant, you will be part of a team where independent work is complemented by joint activities and meetings within the team. The work involves a significant amount of outreach activities. Evening and weekend work is relatively extensive.

We particularly value the following qualities in you as an applicant. You have:

• extensive experience of voluntary work as a leader or board member in a sports club
• completed education with a focus on sports, leisure, public health, pedagogy at folk high school or university
• pedagogical and social competence
• a pleasant demeanor and enjoy developing and speaking in front of a group
• a strong interest in working with learning processes
• good administrative skills
• knowledge of the sports movement in general and sports life in particular
• a network within sports in Skövde, Tibro, and Karlsborg
• knowledge of digital tools such as Teams and ZOOM

The position is based at the office in Skövde, but mobility within the district will be required, which means that a driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are a requirement.
