The Children and Family Unit consists of reception, investigation group, child secretary group, family law, family care, and administrators. The unit is led by a unit manager. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Support and Care in Tomelilla is looking for a social worker for the Children and Family Authority.

Your main responsibilities as a social worker will be to conduct investigations according to SoL and LVU focused on children and youth aged 0-21 years, as well as to grant support and treatment measures and follow up on approved measures.

In acute situations, you need to be able to make quick assessments and decisions. You work with a high degree of independence within legislation, guidelines, and practice.

In your work, you are required to collaborate with the child's network as well as with internal and external partners, such as preschools, schools, BUP, and the police.

You should work with our citizens in focus based on a holistic view and contribute to the operation being characterized by professionalism and good treatment.

In your daily work, you will receive support and guidance from a unit manager and senior social worker who also drives method development together with you and your colleagues. You are also offered external supervision in your work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an experienced social worker who has:

  • Degree in social work or another equivalent degree according to the requirements of the National Board of Health and Welfare
  • Experience in investigative work within social services
  • Good knowledge of legislation within SoL and LVU
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing
  • Good collaboration skills and is also a good communicator

To thrive in the investigation group, you need to be flexible, unpretentious, and able to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work as an authority practitioner. As a person, we also see that you are stable, secure in your professional role, and responsive to the needs of children and families. You have an easy time planning, organizing, and prioritizing your tasks. You have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations and enjoy collaborating. You are development-oriented and have good analytical and reflective skills.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Experience in authority work within children and family based on BBIC
  • Experience in working with violence in close relationships
  • Training in MI, Freda, Patriarch, Signs of Safety
  • Other language skills
