Job Responsibilities

Do you want to work in a student-centered role where you truly have the opportunity to make a difference? Take the chance as we at Skolan på Ön are now looking for a social pedagogue.

Your role as a social pedagogue with us involves being active in student groups throughout their school and leisure day. You work to support and motivate students, both at group and individual levels. In collaboration with our school's educators, and together with other staff at the school, you help shape and develop the school's learning environment. This aims to create a safe and stimulating environment that contributes to students' learning and development. You work with the school's core values, and it may also be relevant for you to actively participate in some of our school's development work. Your knowledge and experiences are important to us and contribute to a holistic view and give us an understanding of how society, group, and individual interact. You will be part of the school's student health team and lead the school's safety group. You will also be responsible for reports and investigations regarding bullying, the school's plan against discrimination and bullying, and our student council.

Qualifications

You who are applying have a post-secondary education as a social pedagogue from either folk high school, vocational college, qualified vocational training, or university. If you have experience working as a social pedagogue or from a similar role previously, it is an advantage. We also see it as an advantage if you have experience working with children, preferably in a school setting. Furthermore, you have a good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can apply them in your daily work. Of course, you have a professional approach and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

Skolan på Ön is a F-3 school with about 15 students. At Skolan på Ön, we always focus on the student.
