Join Our Research Team as a PhD Student in Digital Product Passport Systems for Sustainability (Pass4Sustainability)
We offer a PhD position in our research project focusing on Digital Product Passport (DPP) systems aimed at promoting sustainability (Pass4Sustainability).
This position is part of the subproject A Cybersecurity-Centered DPP Enterprise Architecture (CCArch) at the School of Engineering in Jönköping (JTH), Jönköping University.
The subject of your research will be decided in dialogue with you within the framework of CCArch, ensuring that it aligns with both your interests and the goals of the project.
Responsibilities
As a PhD student at Jönköping University, your working hours will primarily be dedicated to doctoral studies. This includes taking doctoral courses, participating in scientific conferences, publishing scientific articles, writing a licentiate thesis, and ultimately a doctoral dissertation. Up to 20% of your working time may consist of teaching and/or administrative work.
About Us
At JTH, we conduct research and teaching in computer science, computer engineering, and informatics. We have two growing departments within these areas, with approximately 50 employees. Your placement will be at the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics. We offer education at the undergraduate, advanced, and doctoral levels. Teaching occurs in both bachelor's, master's, and engineering programs ranging from graphic design to software development and cybersecurity.
We have some of the highest application numbers in Sweden for our bachelor's programs in networking and cybersecurity as well as graphic design and web development. We also offer a popular master's program in cybersecurity.

Qualifications
You need to have completed a master's degree, fulfilled course requirements of at least 240 higher education credits, of which at least 60 higher education credits at the advanced level, or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge.
Furthermore, the following is required:
- Knowledge in cybersecurity
- Knowledge in enterprise architecture
- Experience in conceptual modeling
- Good collaboration skills and ability to plan your work
- Good communication skills in both Swedish and English (spoken and written)
It is meritorious if you have experience with digital product passports and/or software development.

Employment Details
- Position: Full-time (5 years, with the first 4 years dedicated to doctoral studies).
- Start date: August 15, 2025, or by agreement.
- Salary and conditions: favorable according to collective agreements.
