JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a care assistant, you provide support and service to individuals with disabilities in all aspects of life. This may involve planning the week, managing the household, and accompanying them on leisure activities such as going swimming or shopping in town. Your work may also include providing more practical support such as personal care, medication, transfers, and training. Some health care tasks require delegation from a nurse, and to be eligible for the position, you must be able to accept the delegations required for the job.

In this recruitment, we are looking for someone with a strong interest in methodological work and a pedagogical ability. You are a person with great patience, empathy, and engagement. You work solution-focused and find it meaningful to work with people in need of support. You are self-assured and have experience from various workplaces and professional roles. You have the ability to step back and observe a situation even when it gets stressful. You have experience working with individuals with mental health issues, depression, anxiety problems, self-harming behavior, and psychotic disorders. Additionally, you have experience working with individuals exhibiting challenging behavior.

It is also an advantage if you have experience working with and implementing clear pedagogical methods, experience in behavior analysis, and experience in mentoring and supporting colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this position, we are looking for someone who has:

• At least three years of work experience in the field.
• Education as a support pedagogue, behavioral scientist, social pedagogue, or other equivalent qualifications.

You have the ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy, and respect. You are unpretentious and recognize and reward others' contributions. You have the ability to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally. You collaborate well with people in various contexts and functions. You can remain calm and perform in a pressured environment and are accustomed to handling difficult situations. You remain optimistic in the face of challenges and have the ability to accept and learn from constructive criticism.
