Project Manager for Transition in Social Services

Workplace

The Social Administration encompasses all aspects of authority exercise and all execution within the framework of the Social Services Act. The administration is also responsible for LSS and municipal primary care.

Your immediate supervisor is the social manager.

Job Responsibilities

A new Social Services Act will come into force in the summer of 2025. To meet the legislative requirements for a knowledge-based, accessible, and sustainable social service, current operations will need to be developed and adapted. We are now looking for someone to coordinate and lead the municipality's work towards transitioning to the new Social Services Act.

Your assignment is administrative and cross-municipal, covering all areas within social services. You will work on behalf of the social manager.

As a project manager, you will coordinate and lead the municipality's efforts to adapt to the new Social Services Act, which aims to create a long-term, sustainable, more preventive, and knowledge-based social service. You will be responsible for developing a transition plan to implement the new Social Services Act throughout the administration and also across the municipality.

You will provide support and guidance to the administration's employees in the transition to the new Social Services Act. You will do this by creating engagement and participation among employees.

Your work will include mapping needs and conditions for the municipality's transition to a new Social Services Act. Plan, lead, and implement the changes that need to be made locally related to the transition. Communicate ongoing work internally within the organization as well as to politics and citizens. As a project manager, you will work with managers within the administration to develop models and methods for implementing the new Social Services Act. You will be responsible for training sessions and professional development in the area, monitoring the external environment, and participating in various networks.

The assignment may develop and change during the employment, based on needs and decisions made.

Qualifications

You should have a degree in social work or another completed higher education that the employer deems equivalent, and have good knowledge of the social services' mission and the current Social Services Act. To work with the transition, good knowledge of the Social Services Act and the upcoming changes is required.

Experience as a project manager, as well as knowledge and experience in change management and experience from several areas within social services such as authority exercise and execution, is meritorious.
