Accounting Economist for Parent Company

About the Position

In this role with our client, you are part of a team at the headquarters, where you are primarily responsible for the parent company's accounting. As the company grows and changes are made, the role may encompass other areas related to finance, which is why we believe that you, who are eager to broaden your skills and are open to new areas, are the right person here!

The position with our client is long-term and starts as a consulting assignment via SJR with the intention of continuing in employment with the company. To ensure a smooth handover from the current accounting manager, you need to be able to start in May. The assignment will be set for approximately 6 months. The working hours are full-time and the work takes place on-site at the office, which is centrally located in Gothenburg.

Main Responsibilities

Your tasks include ongoing accounting, account reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, currency management, tax, VAT, monthly financial statements, annual financial statements, annual reports, and reporting. You will gradually also work with areas related to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis, as well as being involved in projects, system changes, etc. You will have contacts within the group primarily in Swedish but also in English.

Suitable Background

You have several years of experience in accounting, including tax, VAT, monthly and annual financial statements, and annual reports. You are self-sufficient and can determine based on your experience what needs to be done in the work ahead and take necessary initiatives within accounting. You have worked in business systems and of course in Excel.

Personal Qualities

You are self-driven, manage your own work, and work in a structured manner. You plan well and meet deadlines. You are also proactive in your area. Open to taking on new tasks and thrive in an environment where side projects and changes occur and open up new tasks.
