The Multilingual Unit consists of a large team of about 45 teachers who provide study guidance/instruction to approximately 750 multilingual children and students spread across most preschools/schools in Varberg Municipality (currently offering about 30 languages).

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a native language teacher, you will be responsible, together with relevant colleagues, for the students' continued language development and achievement, where a solution-focused and independent working method within the team is a prerequisite for a successful learning environment. You will primarily work with study guidance in primary school and language support in preschool, but native language instruction in primary school/high school may also be relevant. Individual interpreting assignments within the Multilingual Unit regarding the assessment of newly arrived students may also be relevant.

Your work is very independent, but you will also be part of a team and various development groups, and therefore good collaboration skills and proficiency in Swedish (Swedish 3 or equivalent) are required.

Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest drive. Together with your colleagues, you will shape a relational leadership where the quality of teaching is the focus. We create the best possible meeting for learning.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for native language teachers and study guidance in the native language as well as language support in preschool in Bulgarian. We want you to have a teaching degree or other pedagogical education and experience. You thrive in an environment that demands punctuality, responsibility, flexibility, decisiveness, a high level of service, and social competence.

You should be able to work and communicate digitally via learning platforms, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite/Classroom. Please describe your digital competence in your application.

As a teacher, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating teaching. Your teaching is based on proven experience and scientific principles with an exploratory approach.

You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the organization by planning and following up on teaching together. You have a good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and school goals. Together, we are responsible for creating a sustainable work environment where both students and staff feel good, can grow, and develop.

It is advantageous to have a driver's license and access to a personal vehicle as the job may involve travel between different schools.
