The Department of Orthodontics in Nässjö is part of the Dental Institute, a leading national resource for specialist dental care in clinical treatment, research, and education. All nine specialties are represented here, creating conditions for interdisciplinary collaboration where we see the whole patient.

Orthodontics is one of the cornerstones of the Dental Institute, and the demand for specialist care in orthodontics is high. To ensure good and accessible care, we are located at clinics in Jönköping, Nässjö, and Värnamo. Our three departments collaborate closely on operations, working methods, and collegial community, together receiving 30,500 patient visits each year.

The Role of Chief Dentist in Orthodontics

As a chief dentist in orthodontics, your mission is to best meet the patient's needs for high-quality and cost-effective dental care, with good access and high patient safety. You will work with the clinical management of referred patients. You will consult and be consulted by colleagues and mentor ST-dentists and dental care staff in general dentistry, both through clinical supervision and theoretical seminars, all based on the latest research findings at a cutting-edge clinic regarding new techniques and materials.

We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date according to agreement.

The Department of Orthodontics in Nässjö is a well-established clinic and a friendly workplace. We primarily treat children and adolescents, but also offer treatment to adults with orthodontic treatment needs. We have the privilege of following our patients over a longer period, and by providing the treatment that is requested, this contributes to a positive atmosphere to work in.

We are located in new, modern premises at Nässjö Health Center, together with Nässjö Public Dental Care and the Dental Center Nässjö – a hybrid where general and specialist dental care meet to provide patients visiting us with the right care at the right time in the right place.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed dentist with an approved specialist education in orthodontics. The position is also relevant for those who are at the end of their ST training and plan to finish in the near future. It is an advantage if you have experience or interest in clinical research. The role requires good computer skills and a good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English.
