Are you an experienced inventory specialist who loves working outdoors and wants to contribute to meaningful projects that promote biodiversity? Do you want to be part of a wonderful team of conservationists? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

About us

Svensk Naturvård AB is a small consulting company in the field of nature conservation, currently in an expansion phase where we want to grow and become larger. As a consultant with us, you will be part of a wonderful and inclusive team where everyone is trained biologists or has equivalent competence. We work on projects in both the public and private sectors, focusing on practical conservation measures. To strengthen our team, we are now looking for an experienced nature value inventory specialist who is interested in combining their expertise in inventory with active participation in our practical conservation projects. Most of the work is carried out in Uppsala and surrounding areas, but some projects may involve travel and overnight stays (where the company covers accommodation and allowances). Today, the team consists of five full-time employees and two part-time employees.

About the position

We are looking for a driven and committed employee who enjoys inventorying combined with practical fieldwork. We see the role as a central part of establishing and ensuring future assignments in nature value inventory. The position also involves internal hours to contribute to the company's and employees' development in this direction.

The tasks include, among others:

  • Nature value inventories in forests and wet and meadow areas.
  • Species-specific inventories.
  • Report writing.
  • Competence development of employees.
  • Work with clearing and chainsaw, for example, freeing valuable trees, veteranization, and felling spruce to promote broadleaf trees or pine.
  • Mowing of meadow and pasture areas with a scythe or mower.
  • Control of invasive plant species.
  • Establishment of structures to benefit specific species, such as sand beds for insects or brush piles for salamanders.

We offer great flexibility and are happy to adapt the position according to your wishes and skills. We primarily seek full-time staff, but part-time may also be of interest. We welcome applications from individuals residing both within and outside Uppsala.
