The Gothenburg School Administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, culture school, and after-school care. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where almost 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who work together to develop and take care of the operations - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Oscar Fredriksskolan is a K-6 school located in the heart of Linnéstaden with good communication via both bus and tram. Here we are about 50 employees working together with our 430 students. Nearby the school are Slottsskogen, the Botanical Garden, green parks, and playgrounds. We place great emphasis on being outdoors and moving around, but also on enjoying the city's rich cultural offerings. This school year, we have launched two major initiatives where we have become a PALS school in collaboration with the Västra Götaland region, and also a training school for VFU students.

We are now facing two parental leaves and are therefore looking for you who are an educated and certified teacher for grades 4-6. The positions are two temporary contracts that extend through the autumn term of 2025. You will be attached to the grade 4-6 team and work closely with colleagues as a class teacher in one of the grades. The position includes responsibility for planning, implementation, and evaluation of lessons as well as mentorship.

Collegial learning is central to our operations, and you should have an interest and commitment to this. We expect you to actively contribute to the school's ongoing development work regarding issues of knowledge, safety, and study peace.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher:

• grades 4-6 with subject competence in Swedish and Mathematics in combination with English and Social Studies.
• grades 4-6 with subject competence in Swedish and Mathematics in combination with Technology and Natural Sciences.

We would also like you to have an interest in acting as a VFU supervisor, and it is particularly meritorious if you have completed supervisor training.

In the role of teacher with us, we are looking for someone who has good collaboration skills to achieve our goals. We also see that you promote a respectful work climate and create good relationships with both colleagues and students and guardians. As a person, you are positive, flexible, enterprising, and dare to think outside the box. You have a genuine interest in children's development and learning.
