Lyrestad School is looking for a substitute teacher for grades 4-6

Lyrestad School is a small school in a picturesque environment located about 20 kilometers north of Mariestad. The location next to the forest invites flexible opportunities for teaching both in school and after-school care.

As one of our fantastic teachers is going on parental leave, we need to recruit their replacement for a longer substitute position for the autumn term of 2025. The position is preferably aimed at grades 4-6.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The job involves planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching.

In this role, you will shape the teaching from a holistic perspective where students are encouraged to want and dare to try methods and solutions while developing confidence in their abilities in various contexts. You also recognize the importance of differentiating instruction in terms of structure and lesson content based on the needs of the student group.

You will be part of a team consisting of all educators at the school and will collaborate closely with the student health team to work preventively and promote the educational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this substitute position, we are looking for a certified teacher.

As a person, you are communicative, attentive, and trustworthy. You have a secure and inspiring leadership style for the children and the ability to build good relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians. You are creative and resourceful and can easily adapt to the individual needs and circumstances of each student. We also see that you are development-oriented with the ability to plan, document, and evaluate the activities based on applicable governing documents.

A driving license (B) is a requirement for the position.

The substitute position is a seasonal job for one academic year.
