Lyrestad School is hiring teachers for the after-school program

Lyrestad School is a small school located in a picturesque environment about 20 kilometers north of Mariestad. The location adjacent to the forest invites flexible opportunities for teaching both in school and in the after-school program.

We are now looking for someone who sees the charm in shaping the after-school activities at this smaller unit together with colleagues. We offer two permanent positions, one at 100% and the other between 60-100%.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Lyrestad School, with classes from preschool to grade 6, we work based on the student's entire school day. There is an after-school program where children are divided into two groups for a calm and safe environment.

As a teacher in the after-school program, you ensure that the activities are based on applicable governing documents. The school's educators collaborate closely with the student health team to work preventively and promote the goals of education.

In your role, you create meetings with the students and build relationships with the children and their guardians. You are genuinely interested in children's development and design activities to create inspiring learning environments, increasing their curiosity and interest in gaining more knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you must be a qualified teacher in after-school care or have graduated from the previous after-school pedagogue program. You should also have qualifications in another subject, preferably sports, music, or art.

As a person, you are communicative, attentive, and trustworthy. You have a safe and inspiring leadership style for the children and the ability to create good relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians. You are creative and resourceful, and you easily adapt to the individual needs and circumstances of each student. We also see that you are development-oriented with the ability to plan, document, and evaluate activities based on applicable governing documents.

A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.
