About the workplace

We are now looking for two support pedagogues for LSS housing Area 4. In your position, you will be placed at one of the following units:

• Kollegievägen, group home with 5 users plus two service apartments, age 50+.
• Valdemarsväg, group home with 6 users, age 20-60.
• Östra Linero, newly opened group home with the possibility of 6 users, age 30-50.

We work with users with various functional variations, mental health issues, challenging behaviors, and everyday care needs.

The role

We are looking for someone who has experience in guiding a work group towards set goals, who is structured and responsible. If you also have good knowledge of documentation or have guided in documentation, we would love for you to apply!

As a support pedagogue, you will improve and guide the pedagogical work, drive pedagogical methods forward, and plan and follow up. The position includes working as part of the team where regular work occurs while you are also an extra support for employees. Together with our support assistants and pedagogical coordinators, you will support our users to live the life they desire.

In the role of support pedagogue, you will have dedicated time each week for pedagogical work, which may include guiding employees in challenging work situations, updating yourself on the latest studies on clear pedagogical practices, and guiding in documentation. You will belong to a network of support pedagogues and work closely with the area's pedagogical coordinators. You will also be a super user, which means you should have an overarching knowledge of documentation and our digital tools and support colleagues in this.

Working hours

Working hours are during the day, evening, and every other weekend. The earliest a shift starts is at 07:00 and the latest a shift can end is at 21:15; these are approximate times that may change based on the needs of the users. In Lund, you will work as a support pedagogue for 36.33 hours per week.

We are looking for you who

• Has post-secondary specialization in the field of disabilities that includes at least 200 YH credits or 60 higher education credits or a combination that corresponds to at least two semesters of full-time studies, or another behavioral science orientation that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Has experience working with the target group.
• Has good knowledge and experience of clear pedagogical practices/TEACH.
• Has good knowledge and experience of low-arousal approaches.
• Meritorious with knowledge and experience of working with mental health issues.
• Meritorious with experience in leadership/guidance.
• Can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish as the job involves documentation, meetings with users and relatives, and collaboration meetings.
• Basic knowledge of digital work tools.

Job responsibilities

• Provide support based on the user's own resources in daily living and provide users with good living conditions in terms of self-determination, integrity, and participation.
• Perform and support the work group in social documentation, implementation plans, and other documentation, as well as in following up and evaluating interventions.
• In user-related work, be a support in applying a pedagogical approach and various types of alternative and augmentative communication.
• Have in-depth knowledge in areas directly related to the operational area and be a support in applying a pedagogical approach.
• Be a support in environmental monitoring, creating conditions for applying evidence-based practice and a systematic approach, and being a resource in applying current legislation in everyday situations.
• Be a resource in establishing contact with internal and external actors and a support in collaboration and cooperation with relevant actors and networks to ensure that the individual's needs are met.
