About the client:

A cheerful, humorous 14-year-old boy who can become sedentary when things do not go his way. He has high-functioning autism, plays a lot of video games, and needs to break his isolation. He needs support, motivation, and encouragement to engage in activities. Besides video games, which he excels at, he is interested in music, plays a little trumpet, drums, sings, and enjoys Just Dance.

Qualifications/requirements for the companion:

Experience with neurodevelopmental disorders. A male aged 18 - 35 who is interested in music. It is important that you are a cheerful and positive companion who can take initiative while being communicative, attentive, and natural in your manner.

About the position:

10 hours/month. The service may be performed on Mondays between 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM or Tuesdays between 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM but can change. You may accompany him to either trumpet or drum lessons or engage in other activities such as mini-golf, frisbee, playing tennis, or swimming. Start date as soon as possible.

As a companion, you will accompany a client with a disability on various activities. This may include shopping, visiting museums, or perhaps having a coffee. As a respite provider, you will relieve family members, for example, a child with a disability in the home or local area. This can be so that parents can have some personal time with other siblings.
