Patia emergency and foster homes are looking for a foster care consultant. We are seeking a person with a degree in social work or equivalent experience as a foster care consultant or foster care secretary.

Your responsibilities: As a foster care consultant, you will be responsible for a number of foster homes. Your task is to assist the foster homes with guidance and support during the periods they have a placement. You work on behalf of the social services and have close cooperation with the responsible social worker.

As a foster care consultant, you will work with: - Recruitment and investigation of foster homes - Training of foster homes - Support and guidance to foster homes - Documentation and reporting - Placement inquiries and matching - Customer contacts and marketing

The work involves travel (both short and longer trips weekly) as our foster homes are located throughout Sweden. The position also includes on-call duty according to a rotating schedule. We are looking for you who:

- are a social worker or equivalent - have experience in foster care (preferably as a foster care consultant) - have good knowledge of the Social Services Act and BBIC - have training in the investigation process - have training/experience in guiding foster homes individually and in groups - have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish as this is required in the investigation process and reporting. - have good computer skills - have a B driver's license

Since you work in people's everyday lives and homes, it is important that you can be flexible and handle situations that may arise. A requirement is that you can work effectively, structured, and meet deadlines, as well as being communicative. Furthermore, we see that you are a person who enjoys working both independently and in a team. It is important that you have good collaboration skills, both internally and externally. An established network with foster homes is a strong merit.
