Solna's Youth Group is Expanding!

We are now looking for a new employee for the youth group as we implement our intensive investigation project into regular operations.

About the Workplace

The Child and Youth Unit is responsible for authority exercises and interventions aimed at children aged 0-20 and their families. The unit is divided into seven groups: reception group, investigation group for children aged 0-12, investigation group for youth aged 13-20, placement group which includes foster care, HVB placements, and support housing, open care, network and field group, and finally family law.

We are a group that has worked a lot with feedback and co-handling over the years, which we have seen has resulted in positive outcomes for our well-being and collaboration. In recent years, we have chosen to focus on developing work around youth participation in various ways. Currently, we have an ongoing project regarding intensive investigations combined with network work where two employees in the group work solely on that. We are now in the second year of the project and have seen in evaluations how effective the working method is for both the youth and their families, as well as for our own work environment. Based on the evaluations, it has now been decided that we will implement intensive investigations into our regular operations, which in practice means that we are expanding our group with one more employee to facilitate this work.

What Does the Job Entail?

As a social worker in the youth group, you will investigate the needs of youth aged 13-20 and propose and follow up on open care interventions and placements in emergency homes. Other placements are transferred to our placement group. We always work with two case handlers on the cases and have close collaboration between groups when there are children and teenagers in the same family. As a case handler in the youth group, you will also periodically be a co-handler with intensive investigators based on a developed schedule. The work is conducted according to SoL, LVU, and other applicable legislation.

In our unit, we have focused a lot on Signs of Safety and network work. We try to be a bit more flexible in our planning and also work with Signs of Success with our youth. Method supporters help new employees get a good introduction to the work and provide investigators with support in the investigation process according to BBIC.

Who Are We Looking For?

Qualifications for the Position

• degree in social work
• good computer skills
• fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• experience of authority exercises concerning children and youth, social services
• knowledge of and experience with BBiC, Signs of Safety, and SAVRY.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. You are flexible and work well with others. Additionally, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your work. We value the ability to take initiative, have good administrative skills, and express yourself well in both speech and writing. You are interested in developing social work, especially youth investigations. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
