The Assistance Unit Enskede-Årsta-Vantör is a municipal provider of personal assistance.

Our clients live in Enskede-Årsta-Vantör, Södermalm, and Tyresö. As a personal assistant, you work in the user's home and support the user to live the life they want to live. We are looking for you who want a meaningful and varied job! Welcome with your application!

Your role

Are you a responsive and service-oriented person who can work independently and take responsibility? Then you would thrive as a personal assistant!

We are looking for several colleagues/temp workers who can work during the summer. Depending on needs and the current staffing situation, there may also be opportunities for continued temporary employment after the summer.

You master the Swedish language in speech and writing and adapt your communication according to the recipient's conditions.

As a person, you are calm, positive, and have personal maturity, as well as the ability to set healthy boundaries. Continuity is important for our clients, so we would like you to see this as a long-term assignment and that you are careful about keeping time.

We value experience working with brain injuries and epilepsy. We also prefer that you are a good swimmer, to provide our clients with the best summer experience, especially for those who wish to enjoy swimming.

Job description

The assignment is to provide the best possible assistance for the client for a good quality of life and participation in society. Working as a personal assistant is about providing support in all of life's situations. The tasks consist of planning and implementing interventions based on decisions, the client's needs, and wishes, as well as documenting. The work also includes performing delegated health and medical tasks. It is important to have a professional attitude towards clients, their relatives, and within the workgroup. The tasks range from assisting with personal care to enabling participation in society. This can include providing support in the client's home and also out in the community, e.g., at work, following to school, or during leisure activities.

Your skills and experience

To apply, you need to meet the following criteria:

• At least 18 years old
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken
• Basic computer skills, to document in the operational system
• Preferably a good swimmer
• Upon possible employment, you need to present a criminal record extract from the police.

Enskede Årsta Vantör is one of 11 district administrations in the City of Stockholm. As part of the City of Stockholm, the administration offers preschool and leisure, care for the elderly and disabled, social services, preventive and safety-enhancing work, urban development, and park maintenance to our 105,000 Stockholmers living in the district. We face exciting challenges as the Enskede Årsta Vantör district grows and entirely new neighborhoods are built. Approximately 18,000 new apartments are planned by 2030.

To work with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes in the City of Stockholm, you must present an extract from the criminal record. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
