About me:

I am a 28-year-old guy living with my brother in Annedal, Bromma, on the border of Sundbyberg. You can reach me quickly and easily by public transport, by bike, or by walking if you live in Sumpan, Solna, or Bromma. I am humorous, social, and I really enjoy watching movies.

I work at a Daily Activity during the day, and of course, my assistants accompany me. On weekends, I usually engage in fun activities with my brother, who also has assistance, or sometimes with a friend. For example, we often go to the swimming pool.

I am actively involved in the recruitment process and choose my assistants with care, so I really look forward to your application.

About you:

You are used to working awake at night and understand the importance of being active and solution-focused. Some nights I need more support from you than others, and I want to feel that you are there providing me with security.

It is very important that you feel comfortable with the Swedish language, both spoken and written. My assistants support me with everything in my daily life, so it is important that you also help me communicate in various situations, such as during doctor visits or when I need to try out a new aid at the assistive technology center. But most importantly, so that you can understand your work and perform it in a good and safe manner.

Note! It is important that you are not allergic to pets since my brother and I have a cat, and my parents have dogs that often visit us. It is, of course, a plus if you like our animals (who are very friendly).

It is a big plus if you have experience or knowledge in AAC. I believe that the best fit for these positions is someone 25 years or older who has previously worked awake at night.

It is important to me that you have worked as a personal assistant during awake nights before and understand the importance of being active and attentive.

Staffing:

This position may include an extended (and compensated) staffing responsibility, which means that some weeks you must be reachable at times other than working hours, to call in a substitute or step in and assist when intervention is required. This is Assistans i Balans's way of ensuring that our clients always have a familiar assistant by their side. The assignment is shared by all assistants working according to a regular schedule.

The position:

The work involves both single and double assistance, where collaboration is important both with me and my other assistants.

Right now, I am looking for two people who will primarily work active night shifts (awake nights) with the possibility to step in extra during day, evening, and weekend shifts if a colleague becomes ill. The positions are planned to be around 50%, but we can discuss other possibilities if you wish. Please indicate in your application how you would like to work.

You will receive thorough training, continuous guidance, and ongoing education from Balans, who will be your employer.

Salary: Individual salary setting.
