Job Advertisement: Social Worker

The Supply Services unit consists of a unit manager, a deputy unit manager, a group coordinator, eight social workers, two benefits administrators, a deceased estate administrator, and a budget and debt advisor who work closely together.

We belong to the care and social administration, which is one of our six administrations in Lidingö municipality. Here, approximately 800 employees work to support our residents through all stages of life. We work with elderly care, social psychiatry, disability services, and individual and family care. We always put the individual's needs at the center.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your tasks will partly consist of investigating and deciding on financial assistance within the framework of legislation and delegated decision-making authority. The work also includes working towards the individual's opportunities for self-sufficiency based on individual planning, which includes continuously following up on granted services and working with motivational change efforts. You will work closely with colleagues in the unit, but also with colleagues from other units within the administration.

Part of the position involves working with incorrect payments. Currently, this part amounts to about 20%, but this may change over time. The tasks include investigating suspected incorrect payments of financial assistance. This means independently planning and conducting investigations, making necessary contacts with various authorities, and performing necessary checks. During the investigation, you will meet clients, conduct home visits, document and compile investigations, as well as make decisions on recoveries and write reports for police reports on benefit fraud.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has another education that the employer deems equivalent. You have several years of experience working with financial assistance in recent times. Furthermore, you have good computer skills and experience with Lifecare or similar operational systems. Experience with FUT issues is an advantage.

As a person, you are good at collaborating, structured, and have a good ability to create and maintain relationships.
