Here at the Personal Support unit, we work with the individual's needs at the center. We are now looking for experienced and committed employees for the escort service for a young man.

Your tasks are to be with the main person and contribute to their ability to engage in their leisure interests under good conditions. We want you to have a genuine interest in people and knowledge of different types of disabilities. As an escort, you will support a young adult with disabilities to participate in society and have a meaningful leisure time.

Your tasks as an escort are to support the main person in participating in leisure activities and community life. This person wants support on Thursday evenings and Saturdays. He wants to go to a leisure club and get out and be active, for about three hours per work shift.

Your qualities should include being motivating and empathetic, and being able to adapt to different people's needs and ways of expressing themselves. Knowledge of NPF, autism, and various types of disabilities is an advantage. You need to have knowledge of low-arousal responses, challenging and outwardly aggressive behavior. You need to be able to instill calm and security for the person you are working for.

We are looking for someone who is open to a long-term assignment as the idea is for you to build a unique relationship with the main person, and there is added value in a longer commitment. We will make a personal match as the service is unique and based on a good relationship between you and the main person. You will receive an introduction and an opportunity to get to know the person together with a relative or staff member.

Please note that you will work shorter shifts (about 2-4 hours each time) based on what the main person desires.

Working hours may vary and are agreed upon in consultation with the main person/family. The work offers great flexibility and works very well to combine with other jobs or studies as it is performed on weekday afternoons/evenings or weekends.
