Leisure Educator Wanted at Sigtunaskolan Humanistiska Läroverket

Sigtunaskolan Humanistiska Läroverket, SSHL, is a boarding school operated in foundation form via Sigtuna Skolstiftelse, with roots dating back to the 1920s. The school currently has about 550 students; students who live at the school, boarding students, as well as students who live at home and come from nearby areas, day students. The school offers education in both Swedish and international study programs; Swedish high school and the IB programs MYP, Diploma, and CP. This means that the school carries both a Swedish and an international culture. Currently, there are students from about 45 different countries at the school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a leisure educator with a passionate interest in youth, working 50-100%, who has the ability to inspire, motivate, and engage young people:

As a leisure educator, you will work in a team with other leisure educators. Together, you will be responsible for providing our boarding students (ages 15-19) with a varied and meaningful leisure time. We have a wide range of activities that promote movement, creativity, and creation.

The goal of our leisure activities is to have something for everyone. The role involves reaching out to students, building relationships with them to attract and motivate them to participate in activities and dare to try new ones.

Working hours are distributed over days, evenings, and weekends with longer breaks in between and during school holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS

Your profile:

You should have relevant education. You possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work in both Swedish and English; experience working with youth aged 15 to 19 and managing projects.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked in an international environment. We welcome active and creative individuals who can complement the leisure department with a creative flair.

We are open to various competencies such as drama, theater, art, crafts, cooking, music, creation, etc.

OTHER

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, and before employment, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented.
