Lawyer for the Competition Regulation Unit

Do you want to contribute to the development of a world-class authority? Do you want to influence consumer welfare? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

We work with what everyone takes for granted. The ability to communicate. With us, you will ensure that it works now and in the future. For everyone.

The Competition Regulation Unit is one of four units in the Market Regulation Department. We promote good competition within electronic communication so that end-users have access to a wide range of services at low prices. Our main focus is on the development and compliance of regulations that promote competition within economic communication.

"My name is Emilie, and I will be your manager. I strive to be a present and engaged leader. I am clear and transparent in my leadership and believe in providing freedom with responsibility. I am always available to support and guide when needed, while I want to create a work environment where you feel safe and have the opportunity to develop. For me, open dialogue and unpretentious collaboration are important, and together we drive the business forward.”

About the Role

As a lawyer with us, you will conduct competition law analyses, write decision texts, and perform legal investigations. The work also includes support in the supervision of decisions made and participation in legal processes related to these. Contacts with market actors and industry representatives are a significant part of the role, as well as participation in both national and international harmonization and implementation work. In the long term, it may also be relevant to contribute to the department's work on digitalization issues. The work often takes place in project form together with colleagues with different competencies, creating a dynamic environment where technically complex markets and digital development are in focus.

About the Team

We currently have 9 employees, lawyers and economists, who are experts in competition and market regulation issues. We work closely together in project form to develop regulatory decisions. We are also engaged in European harmonization work and closely monitor how developments can affect the Swedish market situation.

About You

We are looking for someone with a collaborative attitude and a willingness and ability to contribute perspectives in collaborations. You enjoy creatively finding solutions to common challenges. As a person, you are flexible and find constructive ways forward. To thrive in the role, you need to be confident and trust your own competence. Your personal qualities are important to us, so we will place great emphasis on these.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Law degree
  • Several years of relevant work experience in qualified legal work
  • Work experience in competition law
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, in both internal and external contacts.

It is also meritorious if you have:

  • Experience in supervisory work
  • Experience working in the telecommunications sector

Our Offer

We take life seriously. With us, you can have a life both at and outside of work. If you are well, we are well. Therefore, we offer competitive salaries, flexible working hours, and the opportunity for remote work. We also provide generous wellness benefits and two wellness hours each week.

In addition, you will receive favorable conditions for lunch, vacation, parental leave, pension, and in case of illness. Here, you will work in modern activity-based premises at Hälsingegatan 38. As a government agency, we offer a safe and stable work environment where you can feel secure. We are creating tomorrow's society and must stay at the forefront. With us, you will continuously grow with your tasks.

Good to Know

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of six months. Placement in Stockholm with a start as soon as possible by agreement. Your job title will be lawyer.

To ensure a fair and objective assessment of your competence, we ask you not to include a photo, personal identification number, or address in your CV. We have chosen not to request a cover letter as we instead use selection questions. This is to focus on your experience and competence, contributing to a more efficient and fair recruitment process.
