About the Job

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher who wants to participate in our research on plant viruses. The applicant should be able to work independently, and the tasks will include molecular cloning, mutagenesis, sequence analysis, expression studies, and virus testing in plants using virus infection experiments. The plant species we work with include model plants such as Nicotiana benthamiana, as well as agricultural crops like potatoes and sugar beets.

Your Background

The applicant should have a PhD in plant virology, molecular biology, or related fields. Previous experience in plant virology, especially working with infectious clones of RNA viruses, is a requirement for this position. Creativity, motivation, and drive are important personal qualities that are meritorious. Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite since English is the working language in the research group. You should also have the ability to conduct independent research, take initiative, ask relevant scientific questions, and collaborate with other researchers.
