Statens institutionsstyrelse (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individualized compulsory care for youth with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse problems. SiS Youth Home Sundbo, located outside Fagersta, receives non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial issues, criminality, and substance abuse. We are tasked with providing care for youth with special care needs and receive boys who have been sentenced to closed youth care (LSU).

We are expanding and are now looking for an additional Staffing Planner to join our organization at Sundbo to strengthen our HR team!

As a Staffing Planner, you have overall responsibility for the staffing planning for all departments at the institution. This role is a crucial part of creating conditions for SiS to establish a more equitable and efficient way of working throughout the organization.

You are responsible for operational planning, including staffing shifts and coordinating the institution's staffing needs, both short-term and long-term. You adapt schedules as needed, for example during rehabilitation or temporary part-time work, and are a key person in organizing scheduling during vacation periods. As a Staffing Planner, you are involved in planning the induction for new employees, you inform and monitor overtime hours, and proactively identify recruitment needs. In addition to operational staffing planning, you are also responsible for administering and being the institution's expert in the staffing system, Besched.

The role involves working independently and closely with your colleague Staffing Planner, while also having many contact points and collaborating with staff, unit managers, and your closest colleagues in the HR team. You will have the opportunity to influence the agency's development work and working methods related to staffing and scheduling through a network consisting of national expert functions and staffing planners at other institutions.

Qualifications

You are receptive and structured, with a good ability to anticipate needs and plan your work accordingly. Since staffing needs can change rapidly, you must be flexible and able to independently structure and reprioritize your work. Your many contact points also require good communication skills and a high level of service orientation.

You must also have:

  • Relevant post-secondary education with a focus on administration or HR, or other education combined with work experience that SiS considers equivalent.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of legislation and regulations regarding working hours.
  • Experience working with staffing and scheduling.
  • Good knowledge of the Office package.

Knowledge of personnel and staffing systems, such as Besched, is meritorious. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
