As a Specialist in Sickness Benefit-Eligible Income (SGI), you will become part of a team that provides advice and support on SGI-related matters. By coaching case handlers, you contribute to ensuring they have the right competence to meet set goals. Furthermore, you support case handlers and managers in qualified insurance law questions, quality-assure the handling of cases, and contribute to uniform application of the law.

Coaching, Development, and Collaboration

As a specialist, you provide advice and support to case handlers regarding insurance interpretation and current processing procedures. By coaching the case handlers, you contribute to them having the right competence to meet the needs of applicants and insured persons. You actively contribute to creating a workplace learning climate, identify overall competence needs, and initiate possible development paths. As an employee at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, you have a high level of security awareness because the agency deals with confidential information. The job involves contributing to the change and development of processes, and you play a key role in implementing rule and process changes. The assignment also includes supporting unit managers with follow-up on the quality of case handling and being a support to the local management group in matters concerning your specialist area. As a specialist within SGI-East, you are part of a team of specialists.

The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you, who are to work with us, have a high level of security awareness.

We are looking for someone who

  • has a university degree or experience and qualifications that can be assessed as equivalent
  • has processing knowledge within SGI
  • has a coaching approach
  • can understand and analyze complex issues
  • acts on own initiative and takes responsibility to achieve good results
  • has good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • is confident and trustworthy, even in demanding situations
  • collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals.

It is meritorious if you

  • have experience in quality assurance of cases, preferably within SGI
  • have experience in mentoring new employees
  • have experience in designing and conducting presentations and lectures
  • have completed the Joint Insurance Questions competence supply program with a specialist focus
  • have in-depth knowledge within social insurance, administrative law, as well as public access and confidentiality.

Other Information

One full-time position, with start date by agreement. Probationary period may apply. Some positions with us involve participation in security-sensitive operations. To be employed in such a position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) is required.

In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's guidelines for security, background checks are conducted in this recruitment. Remote work is possible if the job allows. In this recruitment, work psychological tests may be used as part of the selection process. Location: Västerås.
