The Department of Care & Elderly Care is facing an exciting development where finance, quality, and operational development go hand in hand. The role of Accountant with us

As an accountant, you are an important support to the department's managers in financial matters and are part of the department's management group. You contribute with analyses and decision support that create conditions for good financial management and a high-quality operation.

You work cross-professionally together with operational developers and HR generalists to analyze results, follow up on, and develop the operations. Through your close cooperation, you contribute to creating equality within the department and to creating conditions for a good working environment, high quality in the operations for those we serve, and a long-term sustainable economy.

Six accountant colleagues work at the units, where you together are responsible for driving and developing the budget and planning process, financial follow-up, analyses, and forecasts at the unit, district, and board levels. Together, you develop working methods and financial processes that strengthen the operations and provide qualified support to the department's managers and leadership.

Your profile

We are looking for you who thrive working close to the operations and who have a good ability to build trusting relationships. You are communicative, express yourself clearly, and can adapt your message to different target groups.

You work in a structured manner, plan and prioritize your work effectively, and have a strong focus on quality. You enjoy collaborating with others while taking responsibility for driving your work forward independently. Since our operations develop in tandem with the external environment, it is important that you are flexible and see opportunities in changes. You have very good computer skills and use digital tools as a natural part of your work. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We are looking for you who have:

  • a university education in economics at least at bachelor's level
  • relevant work experience in accounting

It is an advantage if you have:

  • knowledge of and work experience in financial management
  • work experience in budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up work within public administration
  • work experience in providing financial support to managers and management groups
