Your Role
At LFV, you become part of an innovative organization working with critical communication systems for air traffic and vital societal functions. With us, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work with advanced technology within communication, navigation, surveillance, and meteorological systems (CNS/Met) as well as Remote Tower.
- Work with the operation, maintenance, and development of radio communication systems, including Rakel/TETRA.
- Specialize in radio and telecommunication systems and broaden your competence in several technical areas.

As a Systems Engineer with us, you will have a varied and technically advanced role where you are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and further development of systems that are crucial for both air traffic safety and vital societal communication. The work includes preventive and corrective maintenance of complex and unique systems, such as:
- Radio communication systems (VHF/UHF) for air traffic and technical systems for Remote Tower.
- Telecommunication systems.
- Rakel/TETRA base stations and associated radio and transmission equipment.
The role also includes work with:
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of radio, transmission, and network equipment.
- Installation, upgrade, and configuration of technical systems.
- Radiotechnical measurements and work with antenna and radio link systems.
- Documentation, technical reports, and improvement work.
You will also travel to nearby technical facilities to handle equipment outside of Kiruna. The work is carried out both independently and in close collaboration with other systems engineers, following applicable quality and safety requirements.
You will be part of a tight team of 4 employees, consisting of both women and men, characterized by good team spirit.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have a technical background, with at least a three-year upper secondary education, preferably within technology. You have an interest in technology and are willing to learn and feel confident working with telecommunication technical systems.
You have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, in speech and writing. A valid B driving license is required for the role, and you will need to be approved for mast climbing.
Experience with Rakel/TETRA systems, airport or aviation systems, as well as electrical competence, is meritorious but not a requirement. Knowledge and experience in radio technology, telecommunications, antenna systems, radio links, or transmission solutions, and operation and maintenance of technical systems are also meritorious. A truck driver's license is a plus but not a requirement.

The position is a permanent employment with the location in Kiruna. Before employment, LFV conducts a security clearance which includes register checks, security interview, and drug test. This position requires Swedish citizenship.
