Falck Industrial Fire Services is today the world's largest private rescue service organization. Falck Rescue Services Sweden has long and excellent experience in operating rescue services at airports, nuclear power plants, and high-risk industries. In Sweden, Falck operates rescue services and occupational health services at the Forsmark and Ringhals nuclear power plants. Falck also operates rescue services and ground services at Bodø Airport in Norway. Through our training department, we deliver safety-enhancing training in healthcare, fire safety, threats & violence, crisis management, and PDV.
Does it sound exciting to work as a firefighter in one of Sweden's most high-tech and safety-critical environments? At Falck Rescue Services, we are now looking for an engaged firefighter for our operations at the Ringhals nuclear power plant in Varberg.
This is a unique opportunity within specialized industrial rescue services, focusing on preventive work and the highest level of safety. You will become part of a professional shift team and a leading global company, where we continuously test and develop new equipment and methods.
Your role as a firefighter at Ringhals
As a firefighter with us, your main focus is on proactive and preventive measures to guarantee safety at the facility. You will work in an environment where quality and precision are of utmost importance. Your tasks include:
- Systematic fire protection work (SBA).
- Develop and prepare internal exercises for the fire brigade.
- Perform maintenance and technical replacements of the facility's fire systems.
- Be responsible for and maintain materials, vehicles, and training areas.
Qualifications:
- Completed firefighter training (SMO, Rescue Operations, GRIB, or equivalent).
- Category C driver's license.
- Passed smoke and chemical diving tests according to AFS 2023:15.
- Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good knowledge of English.
- Category B driver's license and access to a personal car are a great advantage as working hours do not always match public transport schedules.
Meritorious:
- Training as Rescue Leader A or Supervision A.

Other:
Permanent position starting with a 6-month probation period. Full-time (100%) and start date by agreement.
Working at a nuclear power plant places high demands on safety. The process therefore includes:
- Drug test and check against the criminal record register.
- Physical employment tests according to current AFS regulations.
- Selected candidates will be invited to test days during autumn 2026.
