to apply for the job
Do you want to develop digital solutions that contribute to the public good and help shape the future IT environment at PTS? We are now looking for a full-stack developer who wants to work with the development and maintenance of our business-critical systems during an exciting period of change.
We work with what everyone takes for granted. The ability to communicate. With us, you ensure that it works now and in the future. For everyone.
The position is located in the IT Service Development unit within the Business Development department. The department consists of three IT units responsible for operations, maintenance, as well as system, business, and process development. We develop and maintain PTS IT systems, websites, and e-services, and support the agency in its digital development.
During the year, several system implementations are being carried out while a new organization is formed ahead of the merger with Digg at the turn of 2026/27. The new agency will double the number of IT employees, which may lead to changes in both the role and the organizational placement. The PTS IT environment is primarily based on Microsoft technology with mostly on-premises operations, while more cloud solutions are being introduced. The incoming IT operations are container-based and rely on open source, offering excellent development opportunities.
"I am Paula Fagerlund, your future manager. I believe in trust before control and that good solutions are created together. As a manager, I am clear about direction and expectations, but give plenty of room for personal responsibility, new ideas, and different perspectives. I appreciate when people dare to think innovatively, question established ways of working, and find smarter ways to solve tasks. For me, leadership is something we do in everyday life through dialogue, collaboration, and shared responsibility for the whole."
About the role
As a full-stack developer, you will primarily work with backend development in Microsoft's technology stack and the development of user interfaces for web applications. You will be part of an agile team and work on analysis, development, testing, and further development of our solutions in close collaboration with business stakeholders, testers, architects, and other developers. The role also involves contributing to good code quality, system architecture, and knowledge sharing within the team.
About the team
Approximately 35 employees work in the department in roles such as project managers, system developers, architects, IT technicians, requirements analysts, technical maintenance managers, and business developers. The culture in the unit is flat, solution-oriented, and based on collaboration and knowledge sharing in small teams with broad roles. Here, developers, maintainers, project managers, and requirements analysts work together with a strong commitment to contributing to societal development.
About you
To succeed in the role, you are collaborative, solution-focused, and willing to share your knowledge. You have strong analytical skills, see connections in complex situations, and can weigh different solution alternatives against each other. You are curious, keep up to date in your field, and contribute to the team's development. At the same time, you work systematically, plan your work well, and deliver with quality within set timeframes.
We are looking for someone who has:
- At least 2 years of post-secondary education in system development, programming, or similar as deemed relevant by the employer.
- Several years of experience in development using both .NET Framework and modern .NET versions.
- Several years of experience with ASP.NET MVC and/or Razor Pages.
- Several years of experience in testing, such as unit tests, integration tests, and frontend tests.
- Experience in frontend development within MVC-based web applications.
- Knowledge of integration and API work.
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
It is also meritorious if you have:
- Several years of experience in development towards SQL databases.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Experience with container-based environments, such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.
- Experience working in on-premises environments.
- Experience with CI/CD and automated build and deployment processes.
Our offer
We take life seriously. With us, you can have a life on and off the job. If you are well, we are well. Therefore, we offer competitive salaries, flexible working hours, and the possibility of remote work. We also have a generous wellness allowance and two wellness hours every week.
In addition, you will enjoy favorable conditions for lunch, vacation, parental leave, pension, and sick leave. Here you will work in modern activity-based offices at Hälsingegatan 38. As a government agency, we offer a secure and stable work environment where you can feel safe. We are creating tomorrow's society and must stay at the forefront. With us, you will grow with tasks all the time.
