About the Workplace
Kristianstad Central Hospital (CSK) is the emergency hospital for northern and eastern Scania. Here, emergency care is provided around the clock by qualified and dedicated staff. CSK offers the resources of a large hospital combined with the proximity and community feel of a smaller one. We have approximately 2,600 employees.

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), with its approximately 65 employees, provides comprehensive specialist care in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of diseases and disabilities in the ear, nose, and throat area, as well as on-call services. The department has a well-developed medical practice across most ENT specialties and is supported by its own audiologists and speech therapists. For certain ENT diagnostic areas, CSK has a regional responsibility, such as pediatric sleep apnea investigations.

Responsibilities

Are you a nurse looking for a varied and developing role? Here, you will be a key part of a dedicated team, meet patients of all ages, and experience the variety and dynamics that make the work so rewarding, as no two days are alike!

As a nurse at the ENT clinic, you will be offered stimulating and varied work in a specialized setting. You will work closely with doctors, assisting at scheduled clinics, during on-call duties, and in connection with outpatient surgeries. This role offers you the opportunity to develop your competence in ear care and be an integral part of an engaged and multidisciplinary team.

Nurses and assistant nurses also run their own clinics at the department. We have, among other things, a Sleep Team, a Track-team, and contact nurses for our cancer patients. In the basic staffing, both assistant nurses and nurses staff the rinsing station as needed. Nurses also staff the runner position, which serves the clinics and handles 1177 inquiries. We also have telephone advice, but this is staffed once you have gained more experience in your role as a nurse at the clinic.

At our clinic, you will meet patients of all ages, from the youngest to the oldest in society. The work is varied and filled with new encounters and experiences, making the ENT department both exciting and rewarding. Despite its seemingly small scope, the ENT department is a large and broad area, offering good opportunities for development. The ENT clinic is a department in development, as a generational change among the doctors is now in its final stages, resulting in new and exciting forms of clinic operations.

Working hours are during the day, Monday to Friday, from 07:30 to 17:00. Every eighth week includes working two evenings for our pediatric sleep apnea investigations. These shifts are currently covered, but changes may occur, and this is part of our duty.

Qualifications

For this role, we are looking for you who wish to contribute your skills as a licensed nurse with the eligibility to work in Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish, equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale, is a requirement. Experience in ENT activities, other clinic work, and/or emergency care is meritorious. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have knowledge of the systems Melior and Pasis.

We are looking for someone who is engaged, receptive, and confident in their professional role. It is important that you have a good ability to handle stressful situations, as we also have our on-call service active at the clinic on weekdays. You should be responsible and able to prioritize easily in your work. To thrive with us, you should have a positive attitude and be driven by development. For this role, it is important that you have good communication skills, enjoy working both independently and in a group, and have a respectful approach towards both colleagues and patients.
