Your role

The municipality's rehabilitation unit is responsible for providing rehabilitation for individuals who, due to disabilities or care needs, cannot access primary healthcare. Our team includes physiotherapists and occupational therapists who assess and evaluate rehabilitation needs. The unit also includes rehabilitation assistants.

As a physiotherapist within the rehabilitation unit in Eslöv, you have overall responsibility for rehabilitation and create important prerequisites for patients to live as independent and meaningful a life as possible through rehabilitation, exercise, and prescription of assistive devices. Your responsibilities include assessing rehabilitation needs, recommending suitable exercises, finding compensatory assistive devices when necessary, and guiding and instructing home care staff.

You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals in the care chain, including occupational therapists, nurses, home care staff, needs assessors, unit managers, and internal and external colleagues. Together, we work to create a holistic solution for the individual. You will participate in thematic meetings and contribute to development work within the unit and with other professional groups in the team.

The intended placement is in a district.

Your experience

• Swedish professional license as a physiotherapist or physical therapist.
• Category B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles.
• Good computer skills and the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as documentation is part of the job.

Merits include previous experience as a physiotherapist/physical therapist and experience in multi-professional work within municipal operations.

About the workplace

We are located centrally in Eslöv, near the train station. We share our premises with the municipality's nurses and part of the home care staff.

Occupational therapists in Eslöv Municipality have close cross-professional collaboration with physiotherapists, nurses, care staff, needs assessors, and unit managers. Eslöv Municipality also has a medically responsible person for rehabilitation (MAR) since 2015.

We are constantly working on improvements for the future.
