About the workplace

Pålsjö Park short-term unit and 24-hour respite care is beautifully located next to the scenic Pålsjö forest, surrounded by large green areas. The 24-hour respite service offers temporary relief for relatives who care for a loved one who is chronically ill or has a disability. We accommodate up to 17 guests at a time, including an acute bed. The stay is usually between one day and two weeks, which means varied work with a continuous flow of guests.

At our workplace, you work in an interdisciplinary team consisting of assistant nurses, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. We have close cooperation between our departments, and our operations are Star-certified.

Job responsibilities

As an assistant nurse, you work to enable individuals to live as independent a life as possible.

Your tasks include carrying out measures within care, nursing, and service. This may involve providing support during meals, personal hygiene, social interaction, and activities, both individually and in groups. You also perform delegated health and medical care tasks such as exercise programs, medication management, and wound dressing.

You document according to current legislation in our journal system and collaborate with relatives, colleagues, and other professions to ensure safe and person-centered care for our guests during their stay with us.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse. To succeed in the role, you need good knowledge and experience of working with individuals with cognitive impairment. Challenging behavior occurs, which means you need experience from working with low-affective approaches.

Furthermore, you need to be confident in your documentation skills, comfortable using various digital tools, and have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

You clearly demonstrate that you both want to and have the knowledge required to take full responsibility for the HSL (Health and Social Care Act) tasks in the operation.

It is meritorious if you have experience working with our quality registers Senior Alert and BPSD.
