We are now looking for a Junior Doctor for our wonderful hospital in Fagersta! Do you want to be part of a meaningful operation where you make a difference and create security for patients? We are now looking for a driven junior doctor who wants to work in a rotational position between the ward at Fagersta Hospital and our Primary Care/AH team.

Job Responsibilities

The work rotates between ward work and work in the Primary Care team. The responsibilities on the ward include standard junior doctor duties such as admission and discharge of patients, ward rounds, somatic status, documentation/consultations, and medication reviews. In the Primary Care team, in addition to standard medical duties, there are also home visits, referral assessments, and the creation of care plans in consultation with the team's nurses.

About the Workplace

Fagersta Hospital is organizationally located under Köping Hospital. The Medicine Clinic in Fagersta consists of a medicine clinic, rehabilitation, Ward 1, and the Primary Care/AH team.

Ward 1 has been completely renovated. There are 16 care beds, of which 2 are integrated hospice beds. There are also 2 beds for direct admission from primary care and our mobile team. All rooms are single rooms. On the ward, there are four team offices where doctors, nurses, and assistant nurses have their workstations.

The Primary Care team/AH is a collaboration with the municipalities of Fagersta, Norberg, and Skinnskatteberg. The purpose is to offer residents the right care at the right time and at the right level of care. The team targets the sickest adult individuals as well as those who need advanced home care at the end of life.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are responsible and are attracted by the broad perspective of the smaller hospital. You want to work independently and like to drive development. As a person, you have the ability to work in a structured and flexible manner. You are receptive and have good cooperation skills. The patient is important to you, and you strive for good treatment. You who apply have completed at least 9 terms of the medical program and have taken with you good knowledge from your education. It is meritorious with experience from internal medicine or emergency medicine service. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Class B driver's license is a requirement.

Employment Conditions

Fixed-term contract for 6 months with possibility of extension, full-time.
