Job Responsibilities

As a midwife with us, you will work with maternal healthcare, group-based parenting support, contraceptive counseling/STI prevention, gynecological health checks, as well as information and health counseling. You will work both independently and in a team with other staff categories at the health center, and improvement work is an important part of daily operations.

The 11 region-run health centers and the health centers' emergency clinics in Västmanland are operated as an intrapreneurship with their own board and Region Västmanland as the owner. Närvården Herrgärdet is a well-established health center in central Västerås. Qualifications

You must be a trained midwife with prescribing rights. You preferably have MI (Midwife-led Initiative) training or other equivalent education. We also value experience with group-based parenting support and sexology. Experience in primary care or similar is preferred. You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience with the medical record systems Cosmic and Obstetrix is meritorious, as we use these systems daily.

As a person, you are flexible and self-initiating. It is a given that you act professionally, are clear, and have a good manner of dealing with people. The work requires that you have good teamwork skills and can work independently. We would like you to contribute to new thinking and the development of the operations. Your knowledge and work experience make you secure and stable in your professional role as a midwife. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment Conditions

Fixed-term position at 80% with immediate start until August 31, 2027. Start date by agreement. We apply individual and differentiated salary setting.
