Job Responsibilities

At the health center, as a district nurse or a basic trained nurse with experience in primary care, you will meet patients of all ages with different needs. The work involves variation between tasks during the day and week.

You are responsible for your own planned clinic, emergency clinic, and drop-in clinic where you see patients with acute symptoms. You provide telephone advice, health talks, and digital visits via 1177 Direkt. There are also opportunities for specialist assignments for different patient groups and needs.

We have a drop-in clinic for minor acute complaints. Here, nurses work in a team together with other nurses, assistant nurses, and doctors. This is one of several improvement efforts that are an important part of daily work and have led to increased accessibility for our patients.

About the Workplace

The 11 region-run health centers and their emergency clinics in Västmanland are operated as an intrapreneurship with a board and Region Västmanland as the owner. The operations are gathered under the name Närvården Västmanland, and together we work to offer accessible and high-quality primary care throughout the county. We continuously invest in the development of our workplaces to meet the primary care needs of the future.

Närvården Sala Väsby is a well-established health center with a forward-thinking approach. The health center is part of a new healthcare building that also includes Sala Local Hospital and several other clinics. Adjacent to the workplace are train and bus stations, as well as free parking for staff.

Närvården Sala Väsby is responsible for 13,100 registered patients. Our unit includes clinics with doctors, district nurses, nurses, assistant nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, a psychosocial team with counselors, as well as mother and child health care. The operations also include a branch clinic in Västerfärnebo.

Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse with further education as a district nurse, or a basic trained nurse with experience in primary care and working at a health center. Specialist competence in diabetes is meritorious for the position. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and preferably experience with the medical record system Cosmic.

• You are secure and stable in your professional role.
• You have the willingness and capacity to help others and the ability to create good encounters.
• You are open to changes and accustomed to adapting to new shifts in work pace and tasks.
• You bring ideas and suggestions that can contribute to the development of the operations.

Employment Terms

The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date according to agreement.
