Mora is a town close to nature and mountains, inviting outdoor activities and an active leisure time year-round. Mora Hospital is one of Region Dalarna's two emergency hospitals. The catchment area has approximately 80,000 inhabitants, but outdoor facilities in Sälen and Idre, as well as major sporting events both summer and winter, bring large tourist flows. Mora Hospital offers the coziness of a small hospital while simultaneously serving as a trauma center. The Operation Anesthesia ICU clinic consists of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Central Operation (C-op), Day Surgery Mora (DKM), and Sterile Technology. Approximately 1,500 patients are cared for annually on the ICU, of which about 500 are ICU patients. A total of approximately 4,500-5,000 surgeries are performed annually at C-op and DKM, primarily surgery and orthopedics, but also some urology. Sterile Technology handles goods from surgical departments, ward departments, and clinics at the hospital, as well as from all health centers in Region Dalarna. We have close cooperation with other clinics and also assist with external tasks at the hospital such as sedation/anesthesia at clinics, alarm teams, and higher competence during secondary transport to other hospitals. At Central Operation, we primarily conduct elective activities in our five operating rooms during daytime, in addition to emergency activities with an operating team on duty 24/7, year-round. As a nursing assistant at Central Operation, you work in close cooperation with surgical nurses and anesthesia nurses in the perioperative care of the patient. Together with the surgical nurse, you are responsible for systematically planning and organizing work in connection with surgical interventions, ensuring that hygienic and aseptic principles are met, and preventing the spread of infection. The position is a temporary vacancy where you will have the opportunity to work daytime Monday-Friday. Daytime Monday-Friday means a 40-hour work week. Region Dalarna offers a generous wellness allowance.

Our requirements are that you:

• are trained as a nursing assistant and hold a protected professional title, with a degree from the Care and Nursing Program or the Care and Nursing vocational package at adult education
• have several years of experience from ward or clinic work within hospital care
• can provide a diploma from the Care and Nursing College

Meritorious is if you have:

• previous experience working in a surgical department, emergency clinic, or intensive care

We are looking for someone who is positive and meticulous, has a patient-focused approach, and good interpersonal skills towards both patients and colleagues. You also find it easy to express yourself in spoken/written Swedish and to work in digital medical record systems. Your simultaneous capacity and stress tolerance are good, and you have the ability to juggle many balls in the air. We also see that you have good cooperation skills and a flexible working style. We are looking for someone who is engaged and contributes to a good work environment. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability and previous references.
