Primary care is the hub of healthcare, and we strive to provide good and safe care for our residents. Vansbro Health Centre is located in Vansbro Municipality and has approximately 6,500 registered patients.

Our team includes various professional categories such as doctors, nurses/registered nurses, assistant nurses, speech therapists, medical secretaries, business developers, care and rehabilitation coordinators, midwives, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists.

The mandate for Primary Care in Dalarna is formulated in agreement with the Care Selection Unit.

Vansbro Health Centre is now looking for a midwife!

You will work with dedicated colleagues in our developing practice in a rural area. The work group consists of two midwives, two child health care nurses, doctors, and psychologists.

In Vansbro, we work according to the VIB (Very Important Baby) method, which is an approach to identify and help families in social vulnerability and/or with substance abuse issues already while the child is in the womb. Close cooperation with Child Health Care (BVC) and Social Services are important parts of this. Family Health Care in Vansbro currently collaborates in a family-centre-like operation. This includes maternity health care, child health care, open preschool, and individual and family care. Preparations are underway for the launch of a family centre.

Your duties as a midwife include standard tasks such as pregnancy check-ups, contraceptive counseling, gynecological health checks, STI testing, and telephone advice. The work involves both individual visits and outward-facing activities such as parent education and collaboration with municipal services.
